Train Corridor Prague-Hostivař
Railway project of the decade, the Prague-Hostivař corridor, is the first railroad boasting four rail tracks the Czech Republic, which will accommodate increasingly intensive traffic.
Two new stops have been built on the seven-kilometre-long route and the third one in Vršovice has undergone a major reconstruction.
The design of the entire line accommodates the technical demands of the project. The intention was to create a timeless visual solution with as long a life-span as possible. At the same time, each station reflects the character of the place. Prague-Eden is home to the modern Slavia football stadium. The roofing and furnishings are therefore designed to withstand mechanical damage. In addition to the extremely durable cladding, this includes the fact that the bins are integrated into the supporting columns. In the next station, you will be greeted by a tree alley - geometric crown shapes in two tones of green. You will know you are in the Garden City. The reconstructed Vršovice boasts a composite aluminium cladding that plays with light and reflections as a mirror. The solution for Vršovice was created in cooperation with METROPROJEKT and SUDOP.
To be involved in the roofing along the entire length of the line is both a great task and a pleasure for us. We believe that we have translated our thirty years of experience into a project that is equal to the best in Europe.
